Most Common Asked Question
Do I have to be completely undressed?
You want to undress to the level you are comfortable with being undressed. If you feel more comfortable leaving your underwear on, that is perfectly fine. The massage therapist will work around what ever garments you leave on. If you are nervous, then you won’t be able to relax and enjoy the session. So it’s up to you to decide.
Is it necessary to remove my makeup?
It’s best if you don’t have makeup if you are getting your face massaged. You’re makeup may also smear from putting your face in the face cradle.
Will the massage hurt?
Massages don’t hurt unless there is a pre-existing condition. There may be discomfort from soreness, injury, chronic muscle tension and other conditions but the approach is always to alleviate. Communicating any pain will be important and your responsibility.
How often should I be getting a massage?
As often as necessary. This depends on your levels of physical and mental stress. It can range from multiple times a week to once a month.
Are male massage therapist stronger or rougher?
That is often a misconception. All massage therapist adjust their pressure according to the style of massage and the client’s needs. For the best results, communicate with your massage therapist if the pressure is too light or too strong and they will adjust.
Are the linens provided?
Yes. If you have a favorite set you rather use, have them ready for the massage therapist to use.
Can I talk during my massage?
Yes, of course. It is your massage session. Sometimes, that’s what needed. However, your massage therapist may suggest you quiet your mind and be in the moment if the conversation is not aiding in having you relax.
Is the gratuity included in the price?
No. Gratuity is to your discretion. It is an expression of gratitude for the care and service provided. We also understand that it may not be in the budget and it’s perfectly fine if you don’t. Society has made it the norm and if you don’t give then you’re some kind of bad person and that is the farthest thing from the truth. If you decide to show your appreciate, so long as you do it from the heart is all we ask.
What if I get turned on / aroused during my massage?
This rarely happens. No need to be embarrassed or concerned. This is a physiological reaction and tends to subside. If it doesn’t, the massage therapist will attempt to redirect the focus by either varying the pressure or working on a different area. If the massage therapist feels like there is sexual tension, they will stop the session immediately.
What if I feel weird or uncomfortable during my massage?
Politely ask the massage therapist to stop the session. There maybe a mismatch in energy or something gets triggered. This is your session and you have the right to stop it. You are not going to be forced to bear through it. Give us a call, explain the situation and we will find a solution.
